S4HANA 1610 CONSOLIDATION, exchange rates management - currency conversion process

Hi Gurus

I am looking for information about currency conversion at SAP BPC Consolidation on S4HANA 1610.

I know than there are a restriction about run Currency Conversion by package.

Could you give me more information about:

- on fly conversion: are there automatic currency translation adjustment calculations? if does it, Balance sheet continues balanced? how can you have actual scenario and what-if scenarios where exchange rates are different (i.e.: previous year rate)?

- exchange rate: I found than we can fetch rates from ECC (if maintained there). Is it not necessary copy exchanges rates to BPC?
