restore vs copy system

Hi BPC Friends

I took a backup from Production, I deleted the environment in Quality and I did the restore in Quality.

The problem is that:

deleting the environment in Quality, we lost the data for the main model, rate and ownership. We also lost the process chain for the BPC package.

In order to do some test in BPC Quality I should do a lot of work: loading the data, creating the process chain and so on.

Do you recommend to do a copy of the BW Production to BW Quality?

What I am going to loose?

Sorry, but if you restore using UJBR you will restore the data in all models in the environment.

so I have done the back up without transactional data and restored.

Now I can do the backup with only transaction data and restore only this or how I can copy the transaction data from Pro to Quality?

By the way for copy I meant a copy of the BW system

Restore full backup

Or restore backup with trans data if no changes in master data...

Hello Michele,

You can use export DM package to export the data from Prod and then use import DM package in Quality to import the same into QA.
