Rerating for Recurring Charges

Hi SAP CC Expert,

Does rerating functionality in CC works with recurring charge (recurring BIT)? As far as I know, we cannot generate twice for the same period using recurring. For example, we are in monthly, and the BIT was generated already in January 1, 2021, recurring charge cant generate again another BIT in the same period January 1, 2021 but should be the next period February 1, 2021.

Can we use the rerating functionality to generate again recurring BIT for the January period and except the old BIT if incase we want to correct some data (e.g. pricing etc.)

Hello Stephen,

Yes, the rerating feature allows to compute again the recurring fees created by SAP Convergent Charging. It means that the original computed fee (BIT) is cancelled in the same time (as the new one is the actual one).

Thank you Eric. Are there any additional actions to perform to do this aside from performing the rerating in CC? I tried to do it but nothing happens in the BIT.

Hello Stephen,

If you don't have any usage fee, you must launch an activation task (by using admin+ for example) just after the rerating.

ex:

The 6th September, you start a rerating from the 1st of August but you don't have any usage fee. You have to launch an activation until the 6th of September.
