Reports/Input forms Unable to EDIT After Dimension Removal from Model

We have build on some  input forms and reports on a model. Due to some circumstances, we had to delete certain dimensions from this model.

But now we are unable to perform any action on these input forms and reports, I tried various tactics in order to use these input forms/reports. But all options failed. FYI, in most of the input forms ands reports, the deleted dimension were in the page axis.

we will have to build all the objects frm scratch, is there any workaround by which we can use these input forms and reports.

Hi

Did you delete User-defined dimensions? If so, you can add your old and new dimensions to the model. Adjust the template with new dimensions by removing all old dimensions from the output layout. Save the template and remove the old dimensions from the model. Try if this works.

Yes. The deleted dimensions are 2 user defined dimensions and the added dimension is flow. I added back the old user defined dimensions and adjusted the template. And then removed the user defined dimension. But aftr login again to this new model, we are unable to edit any report/input form.

I tried to replicate your scenario and I did not face any issue.

Here are the steps I followed:

- Added new dimension while old ones still there

- opened template and brought new dimension to page axis. Removed the old dimension from the report and saved it

- Removed the old dimension from the model.

I opened up the template and was able to refresh and edit. Now my model was unsecured here. Please check if you the dimensions you are working with are secured in the model.

Are your input forms/reports password protected? Sheet options --> Protection?

If the protection is on, the edit button will be seen disabled till the protection is set to "No protection" and clicked "OK".

After analysis all the input forms and reports...most of them are working.and some not..thank you
