Report on Embedded Planning - Data in CP not showing in RSRT immediately

Hi All,

We are building Embedded BPC Report on Composite Provider. The CP contains 2 HANA Views.

One of the HANA view is on top of Planning ADSO and another is on top of regular BW ADSO.

When new data is posted in Planning end and saved, the data is visible in HANA View and also in CP. However the query in RSRT does not show the data. If we manually run 'Create the Column view for CP' then the data shows up in report immediately.

Otherwise it takes some time lag (around 10-15 mins) for the data to show up in RSRT. Are there any settings in Bex to ensure that plan data is visible immediately in RSRT ?

Please let me know if anyone has faced a similar issue.

Hi Amrita,

with a HANA view on top of a planning aDSO you hide the 'transactional' planning provider and the system does not know that 'current data' has to be read from this provider (what is the default for planning providers).

In RSRT or the BW Modeling Tools check the 'Query Properties' settings

- Data Integrity Profile

- Cache Mode

- Cache Usage Mode

In RSRT use the F1 documentation to get more information about these settings.

What you describe indicates that the OLAP cache is used (and not updated) or that the HANA view does not propagate the information that new data is available.
