Dear all,
I'm trying to upload a contract for a client with the following characteristics:
Monthly paid in advance
Cash flow from end of the month until end of the next month -1Day.
Everything seems ok when I introduce the contract until there's a leap year.
The cash flow should be:
10.000€ from 30.01.2007 to 28.02.2008
10.000€ from 29.02.2008 to 30.03.2008.
Insted, SAP is calculating in the conditions simulation and performing the valuation:
10.000€ from 30.01.2007 to 29.02.2008 (29th!)
10.000€ from 29.02.2008 to 30.03.2008.
Because this contract is for IFRS16 valuation, this is causing miscalculations when I execute the valuation.
I tried to change in the posting parameters tab the: following options:
- 30 days for every month / Exact days, both does'nt work
- Start of calendar year / Start of condition (should be start of condition but I tried anyway) both doesn't work
Any ideas what could be causing this calculation?
Thanks!

Hi the logic of next month -1 days seems a bit strange. It depends what you are trying to achieve here. Can you confirm the following:
Contract start date: 30.01.2007
Frequency: 1 month or 30 days or something else...
If your frequency is set to 1 month the system will just roll over and include the extra day of a leap year. Similar to the fact that the rent for Jan and Feb would be the same amount even though the number of days are different. From a partner cashflow point of view that would be correct since you wouldn't be paying more rent, and therefor the valuation is correct as well. Therefor it depends what the expectation is in your scenario.

Hello Carlos
Did you resolve the problem?... I have a similar issue, and i dont know what to do.
My problem is because i need to create contracts with a different fiscal year calendar (K4), my calendar is "4-4-5" in United States and i need to start the calculation on a different day, it depends on the month.

PD: Also, I have the problem with the due date, that it should be 5th everymonth, and I don't know how to adjust that since the contract starts at the end of the month, and depends if ends 30-31th the due date of the next month changes 5 to 4th

Hi Andre,
sorry for the bad explanation.
the full situation is, that we are trying to create a contract with historial data, so, we need to create conditions, valuate, modify this conditions and create new ones, and valuate again.
the first two valuations have the following conditions:
30/06/2005 start date 29/06/2025 end date 29833.33 rent amount Monthly paid Due date: 5th day of current month 29/02/2008 start date 29/06/2025 end date 30459.83 rent amount Monthly paid Due date: 5th day of current monthSo, first, I create the following periodicity at the system:

If I simulate the conditions...

also, i can't fix the due date correctly, because the cash flow should be end of the month until end of the month -1day
and when I execute valuation:

After valuate the contract for the first time, then I should introduce a modification in rent on 29/02/2008, with a new rent amount 30.459,83 until 29/06/2025:

The simulation of the conditions already shows the issue:

new valuation period on 29.02.2008 as it shoud be:

and when I perform the new valuation:

And I can't fix this in any way, changing options in periodicity. seems like the problem is the 29th of febreuary in a leap year.
Sorry for the long post!
thanks
