REFX integration with PM/ FSM

Dear Experts,

Hope you are doing well...!

I have an inquiry regarding the integration of PM and REFX. We seek to establish a method for sharing the functional location to effectively track maintenance services related to specific objects (Rental Object), such as vehicle repairs and hotel equipment repairs (including bed and air conditioning replacements for particular requests). Our intention is to record maintenance charges through the FSM (Field service management) module rather than the REFX module.

If we aim to activate the PM module for the functional location assigned to each objective within the FSM (Field Service Management), what prerequisites should we consider? Please note that service charge settlements are not utilized for capturing maintenance costs, as these charges are independent of the contracts. I kindly request your expertise on this matter.

Thank you for great support...!

Best Regards,

Sayeesh

Hello Sayeesh,

Based on your email I'm assuming you are using the Usage View in RE-FX. Here you can use the integration option to PM to link the relevant RE objects to Functional Locations (FL) in PM. You can do this manually or use the integration option to automate this process whereby you might have to implement a BAdI for specific logic.

Maintenance costs are never recorded in RE-FX and are either captured via MM or in PM using the MM integration in case of external contractors. In PM you will likely have a FL for each RO and in PM you normally create lower level equipment objects for things like aircon, and other technical objects that require maintenance). You should always create the work order on the lowest level for accurate cost collection and reporting and in PM you will be able to roll up the costs on the higher level FL to give you a view per RO, BU or BE.

If you don't have to charge back the maintenance costs to the tenant there would be not further configuration involved.

Regards, Andre
