Reassignment of PO (FMCN, FMCT, FMN4N)

Dear experts, If I want to do reassignment to a PO using FMCN, FMCT, FMN4N (I don't mind using FMCG or FMCB) instead, and lets assume that th PO is old and that we've added new code during the years, so if we use now ME22N and try to save the PO, we can't do it (we get a new Z Error). What should happen when I use FMCN? Does the system let me do the reassignment or I get the PO's Z error ? If I get the error, is there any way to skip it and do the reassignment?

Hi,

FMN4N is not a reassignment routine. You can use either FMCB or FMCG (FMCN is useful when you have to complete empty assignment) to create a worklist, and then FMCT for actual reassignment. If there is a Z-error which prevents changing FM assignment, there is not much to do, but to try and neutralize it, even if in debug mode. Once there is at least one error, you shouldn't pay too much attention for other errors in the log for the same document, as it could be confusing.

Eli

Thanks Eli.

I've tried FMCB and FMCT as well, however when the IO status is TECO, I can't fulfill the RA. I guess that's how it works.

If a functional block is put on one of the affiliated objects which doesn't allow the change of a PO, this is system design. Unless, you receive a message for irrelevant object or you suspect some other kind of inconsistency.
