Hello Experts,

I am trying to create model where driver edit option need to be enabled. But this is not working at all. Tried all the setting available & the combinations too. Not sure what is pre-requisite for this.

Source used is Model Table (Environment) , Processing type - Executable/ Subs-Function (tried both)

Query Function on this above - but editable option is greyed out.

Hi Kalyani J,

Thanks for your reply.

I tried replicating your first scenario and the same set of errors only appeared when the source of Environment CDS Query type is a Model BW. Can you please recheck this and confirm? As stated prior, Query Type: Environment CDS, should have an input of a Model Table that at least contain one character field that has master data.

If in case that you are also using a lower version of PaPM, we highly recommend updating to the latest version which is SP11 so that you are up to date for not only bug fixes but latest features.

For more information about Query function, please follow the link below: https://help.sap.com/viewer/56471df1959f4cfd9e3bf7a6d2d5be42/3.11/en-US/30cbab0e6bad4eb394681f685df0...

Thanks Alvin, This probably version issue. I am on SP9 & documentation of SP9 does not talk about editing Model table data when provided input to query. Though Standard SAP Content works fine even with Model Table input to query.

Hi Kalyani,

In that scenarios, Provision the external data to BW and use Model BW.

Hi Kalyani,

Try with Model BW as source if possible.

It make work Akshay with that. But Model Table is what I am looking for, because drivers would be uploaded externally via model table which need option of editing.

Hi Kalyani J,

Good day!

I understand that you were not able to set the Editable option to "Yes" after choosing Model Table (Environment) as source and Query function above.

To start investigating, may I know what Query source did you choose? Please see the recommended combinations below:

Query Type: Environment, should have an input of a Model BW

Query Type: Environment CDS, should have an input of a Model Table that at least contain one character field that has master data.

Upon following the above combination, may I suggest that you fill in the Input function first and then you'll see that the Editable option will not be greyed out.

Thanks,

Alvin

Thanks Alvin for your reply. I tried with

1.Model Table (Environment) as source, having master data too and Query Type: Environment CDS . Additionally data is uploaded already. Here I get below error -

2.Model Table (Environment) as source, having master data too and Query Type: Environment . Here editing is not getting enabled.

Also tried both the case -> Process Type - Executable or Sub-Function.
