Hello!
Could anyone help with information about total size limit for properties of 1 dimension in SAP BPC 10.0 for NW?
I have one dimension with , for example, 10 properties. Size of properties is different, but total size should have a limit but i can't find info about this specific limitation. Also is interesting what is the size limit for 1 property?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Alexey,
There is no limit on total size defined
10 properties is fine and I don't think you will have issues with property size...
Can you explain the business case? What do you want to store in the property...

It's just "Fullname" property of an elements of my dimension, but in my case it is rather long. As i replied to JP& I heard about such a limit for total amount of all property's characters within 1 dimension. So if I'm near it, maybe it is good idea to think about another way to store this info, for example with help of EPMSaveComment

What do you mean by long???
It's useless to store full name longer then it can fit in the report cell
P.S.
"So if I'm near it, maybe it is good idea to think about another way to store this info, for example with help of EPMSaveComment" - bad idea, don't reinvent the wheel!
550 characters, it sounds not so long if there is no limit... but to be safe I decided to question this first before I increase my number of characters.
It seems to me I've never found info about in in official sources or here, on forum, but once a colleague of mine told me that they hit this limit and were forced to decrease number of characters in already existing properties and it comes with some troubles...
It is name of a statement and displayed in reports on the left side with use of "wrap text in a cell" so it's ok

Hi Alexey,
What do you mean by total size limit? Do you mean the maximum no. of properties added in a dimension?

I'am talking about "Number of Characters" (or size) for Properties within 1 dimension. I'm interested in limit on size for 1 specific property and i'm also interested in limit for total size of all properties in dimension (total size = size of property1+size of property 2....).
I heard that it should be a limit, something about several thousands and if u break this limit than some problems may appear. And decreasing size is also followed with some troubles.
