Profit Center and Cost Center Groups - Where are they used?

Hello fellow SAP consultants,

I have a question regarding the practical use of profit center groups and cost center groups in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. While I understand that they help with structuring and reporting, I need specific use cases and the exact Fiori applications where they are actively utilized.

For example, one use case I’m aware of is in the "Manage Allocations" app, where cost center groups can be used to define sender/receiver rules. But where else are these groupings leveraged in real business processes?

I am particularly looking for:

• Allocation & Distribution – Besides "Manage Allocations," which other apps use them?
• Reporting & Analysis – Which Fiori reports allow filtering or selection by these groups?
• Master Data Governance – Are they used in workflows or approval processes?
• Other Processes? – Any use cases in planning, budgeting, or intercompany scenarios?

Please share the names of the exact Fiori applications where you have used profit center or cost center groups. This is key for understanding their practical application.
