Product Comp Matrix for BPC 10.1 NW STANDARD

Hi,

We are very new to BPC.  We just installed version 10.1 NW Standard (no HANA) SP04 in our system and found it to be fairly buggy.  We installed SP05 with all three patches (minus a few notes that could not be installed) and that appears to have fixed the bugs we identified.

My question is about notes and patches for version 10.1.  We are on the standard version, not HANA but it appears that the notes put out are relevant to both standard and embedded?  Is that true?

For example, note 2103585 is the product component matrix for BPC 10.1 for NetWeaver.  Does this apply to both standard and embedded?  Under the header data for the note, other components shows the "embedded model."  We're having a hard time determining which notes apply to the standard version versus embedded.

Thanks much for any clarification you can provide on how we should search for notes relevant to our situation.

Hi,

Yes that note is applicable for both. It talks about which component is compatible with other.

In your case, you need to install components relevant to SP04. All components have to be with correct version even if higher version are available.

Installtion guide will talk about activating Embedded/Classic components. There is no harm in activating embedded even if you  don't plan to use it now.
