My company has Intacct for accounting and uses Concur for expenses.
We are having a big issue in that the standard accounting extract is including expenses that were not succesfully paid out. If the actual expense is not paid, then it is flowing into intacct and the books don't balance. Not to mention that these expenses are now in limbo as "extracted for payment" yet will not be paid until manual intervention is made. As such there is now a very detailed process flow that is shown below:

This is causing a LOT of manual effort by the accounting and integration teams which does not seem like should be the case for a good software product. Is there any native solution to deal with failed postings that would notify the user or possibly move to a different status. How are others dealing with this issue?
Currently it is very difficult for our team to even identify the problem reports outside of carefully maintain this list of failed reports, reaching out to the report owners to insure they resolve whatever issues are causing the failed payment and then manually reloading the entries that we have saved to the side in a list.
Ideally in my view, these entries that have failed to be paid out should be moved to a different status, possibly just back to approved and they would be caught by the extract again. In that sort of scenario the flow would be like this:

Is there any way too automatically handle these failed payments and send them backwards in the process? Having this much required manual intervention and tracking is driving us away from using the tool at all.
