Problem when processing a dimension

Hi all

BPC10 - We have one dimension which throws an error when processed.

This applies only to a single dimension, all other dimensions process without error

This is not a new dimension and it has processed OK in the past.

Our DBA has checked both app and sql server and there is no shortage of disk space.

We receive the error whether we process with either a local client or when the admin tool is delivered over citrix.

Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas how to solve?

Hi Alan,

have you tried to export dim and reprocess the previous version of dim? it works?

yes) try adding one by one your changes and see where is the issue.

no) try restarting the server and after try again to process.

There is also a note, not visible in the search machine, for a 7.0 version see please 1389335 - Error Code = 0x8007000E, External Code = 0x00000000 maybe it helps, remember to backup your dim table before delete it and remeber to check the "Process Members from member sheet" option during process dim.

If the error persist try to copy the model\s and verify if the issue disappear on the copy.

Hi Roberto

We dug a little deeper and found that there were some members added which had in an invalid parent id. Once removed the problem was solved. It was strange that we received this error however. For the moment problem solved so I will close the thread
