Print Messages Disappear from Communcation tab after I1560 from ACE

Hello,

Initially, I set it up for two-activities for printing, no-filing and filing. However, the customer did not want to separate. So, I placed the print messages in the same activity as M0410 and I1560 and eliminated the second activity.

But when the I1560 was received, the proposed print messages disappeared. The messages would have to be created manually using the create button like before.

Is this normal? Or did I miss something?

Regards, Dean.

Hi Dean,

Just have a question(may be dump) from my end. Did you check with your customer why he specifically want one activity ?

Thanks and Regards

Hello Udhaya.S,

First of all, that was the standard configuration provided by SAP as per SP14 for message scheme CUS_US_3. As per SP18, there is new message scheme for US Exports, CUS_US_4. However as I look via Adjustment, there is still only one activity.

Furthermore, we did development to exclude certain line items base in the option not to file if the aggregated value was $2,500 or under. So, if there was nothing to file, a Customs Invoice and an SLI was still required to print.

FYI TO ALL, even though I1560 is set to '0' as an interim notice, GTS will close the activity.

Hi Dean,

To answer your most recent comment - yes, you are right. The standard code now sets the result fo '1' ("Finished") provided there are no errors indicated. There's a comment in the code, mentioning the "new reloaded solution". From what I could see, the "old" solution - and I have no idea when that was - set the result according to the configuration setting in the Message Type.

If you think the new solution is wrong, then I suppose you should raise an OSS Incident.

Dave

Hello Dave,

The latest from my OSS Message with SAP...

"Yes you are correct the message I1560 has an interim notice setting. But in the coding we close the activity with this inbound message if the message does not contain any error or cancelation code. The reason behind this is that this is the only response we get from customs in a positive case without errors. The system behavior is correct."

With that, I have to convince my customer that the behavior is correct. This will not be a good conversation.

Regards, Dean.

Hello Dave,

I thought that was the solution too. But after a test with my customer, the print messages disappeared again.

Any additional thoughts? What info do you need from me?

As always, Thank you in advance for your support.

Regards, Dean.

Hi Dean,

As standard, the I1560 is set up as Message Type '0', so the Activity remains open after receipt. I'm guessing that, when you set up for 2 Activities, you may have changed that setting so that receipt of the message closed the first Activity. In that case, any messages not configured as part of the Activity would not be determined.

If you can ensure that the Activity remains open, then the messages configured for that Activity should still be determined even after receipt.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Dave

Hello Dave,

After more research, I noticed that the NATYP in /SAPSLL/LEGMES has been set to '1' even though the message I1560 is set to '0'. I am thinking this is the problem. Do you confirm?

Regards, Dean.
