Posting only possible in periods 2023/07 and 2023/6 in company code

Dear Experts,

Greetings!

When we are canceling the SCD we are getting an error Posting only possible in periods 2023/07 and 2023/6 in company code but user is giving canceling date as 07/17/2023 but still receiving error .

We checked MMPV also there we have current period as 07 2023 and previous period as 06 2023

In OBY6 we have fiscal variant as K1

For k1 number of posting period 12 For number of special period 2.

Could you please suggest all the details are fine why subjected error thrown

Hi sindhu.kumar,

First, you need to know what is current fiscal period in your company code. The easiest way to check is to go to transaction FB01, enter the document / posting date you want to use, company code and any document type e.g. SA. Press enter - the program will calculate and show you the posting period associated with the combination of company code / posting date.

If your company code uses variant K1, then you should have normal calendar period. But it can be that, the settings were adjusted and you have a shifted fiscal year i.e. fiscal year starts in April instead of January.

Once you know the posting period, please check if it is opened via transaction OB52. Posting period variant can be found in OBY6. You mentioned that the period is opened in MMPV, but it should be opened in OB52 as well.

Usually it should work if you are posting entry in Peiod 6 & 7 as per the message.Please share the details steps to understand the steps you are following.

Seems to be you are trying to post in different period instead of open period of 06 & 07. Please check posting date of your entry.
