Posting credit memo: Acquisition value will become negative in dep. area

Hello Community,

We’re currently investigating an issue within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition related to asset accounting. Specifically, when attempting to post a credit memo on an asset, the system returns error messages indicating that the posting would result in a negative acquisition value.

What’s particularly puzzling is that even a minimal amount — for example, just 1 euro — triggers the same error. This behavior seems illogical, especially considering that the depreciation method and related configurations are correctly set up.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation or found a workaround for this scenario?

Hi , Generally i use t code ABSO for posting negative balance and also check chart of depreciation is allowed to ALL Values allowed

Are you posting in t code ABGL ? did you select TT 101 acquistion for negative asset ?

Below are few options to troubleshoot your issue.
