Hi,
I have created a PO - and just created inbound delivery with T1 date and MRN number and saved.
I can see Transit Document as in below...

Since I have just created IBD and saved, I am at the cross roads and needs some idea...
1 - To take the stock from port to warehouse, Transit Doc. should be processed first or after the GR?
2 - Once the GR is done am I also supposed to do the Customs Import declaration?
3 - Since I intend to do some industrial processing on the material what I received into my warehouse as GR and export back to India ( Inward Processing Relief) IPR should apply, how will that be done and what stage?
Many Thanks,
Alex Kid

Hello Alex,
IPR on the Import side being related to stock status and postings, is considered during Import Customs Declaration creation with reference to GR in SAP GTS itself. Goods Receipt posts the relevant stock updates in SAP ECC system but to update those stocks updates in SAP GTS, an Import Customs Declaration needs to be created with rerefernce to that GR. I hope this was what you were looking for.

Many thanks Amandeep, but still my question remains the same, at what stage IPR should apply. Is it after the GR or after the Import Customs Declaration?
Looking forward for this specific part. I hope to get answer for my this part of question too...
Kind Regards,

Hello Alex,
Below are my answers to your above questions:-
1 - To take the stock from port to warehouse, Transit Doc. should be processed first or after the GR?
My Answer: Yes, you need to process Transit document first for the movement of goods from port to your warehouse & then create Import decl. based on your GR for this case.
2 - Once the GR is done am I also supposed to do the Customs Import declaration?
My Answer: Yes, in case you want to declare your stocks to customs, you need to declare the imports through an import declaration either electronically or further through broker to pay relevant duties and provide statistical data for your transaction to customs authorities.
3 - Since I intend to do some industrial processing on the material what I received into my warehouse as GR and export back to India ( Inward Processing Relief) IPR should apply, how will that be done and what stage?
My Answer: IPR setup is a very broad topic and it's not possible to cover all related details in a post itself. Do let me know in case you have any specific question on this topic.

Amandeep
