populate country of origin on inbound delivery

In ECC our ASN interface (iDOC based) creates an inbound delivery where the Country of Origin gets captured. Later it can be updated via VL32N.

We are now in middle of S/4 upgrade. The same COO field is no longer available for input. What is the process for a supplier to communicate the COO of its shipment?

Hi Vlad,

Please bear in mind that with S4HANA, the tables EIKP/EIPO are not longer used/existing.

Prior to S4HANA, the country of origin was stored in table EIPO.

Please see OSS note "2787421 - Country of Origin field missing in PO in post-GTS migrated systems - S4HANA" for further information about this. Although the OSS note is about the PO document, in my understanding it is also applicable to Inbound Delivery documents.

Hello Vlad,

In ECC 6.0, there is no standard SAP functionality to update the COO. We had to write a custom program that has BDC to update the COO in the IBD after the creation (via IDOC). I don't know why it is grayed out but it appears that SAP hasn't changed (fixed) the behavior in S/4 too.
