Planning of activity types in SAP S/4HANA

Hi All, 

The blog from 2015 on SAP indirect activity determination and allocation outlines older methods for managing cost rates (https://community.sap.com/t5/enterprise-resource-planning-blogs-by-members/activity-based-costing-in...). I'm looking for updated, automated solutions, especially since Universal Parallel Accounting is not active, which prevents the use of the "Manage Cost Rates-Plan" app. Any insights on more current approaches would be appreciated. How can I plan the Cost Rates in an automated way?

Hello Marie,

short answer: I think you can't.

The equivalent of that old ERP functionality on cost center planning has been functionally moved to SAC.

Very unwise decision by SAP, as for most S/4 projects it is an unsurmountable hurdle to introduce SAC just for that purpose.
