Hello,

can you answer the next questions for PER-model for BPC consolidation:

1. Standart Carry forward busines rule is only for last year? Or it can be made for last month due to year?

2. AST and LEQ account: can we put and look data for this account like PER?

3. Currency transaction? Is it ok for periodic model? OPEEND - is it Exchange Rates for last month (not year)?

If there is any documentation about the periodic model for consolidation, please send a link.

Thank you,

looking forward to answer,

Olga

Looks like you didn't read my message with a link to discussion about Account-based Calculation. Here you can put -1 for month to get data from previous month.

P.S. Please do some testing yourself!

Vadim, thank you!

1. "Carry-Forward rules can be used to initialize a new reporting period with the closing balances of the last period from the previous year into the opening balances of the current period. It can also copy closing balances from a designated year ( Opening_year property) and period ( Opening_period property) to the current period." But if we want to use per-model it is nessesary to initialize a new reporting period with the closing balances of the last period from the previous month in the opening balances of the current period. Can we use a Carry-forward rules for this or we should use script-logic?

2. Ok

3. Thank you

You have to read the document:

How to... Configure the Balance Carry Forward Business Rules for SAP BusinessObjects Planning and C...

but the link is broken now (I have already reported it in Using SAP.com)

https://answers.sap.com/questions/118578/links-broken-on-enterprise-performance-management.html

From this document:

OPENING_PERIOD
The OPENING_PERIOD property defines which period (JAN, FEB, MAR, etc) is to be considered as the source period from which the final balance values are to be copied into the targeted opening balance records. If the property is left blank, the system will default to the last period in the prior year, DEC. Instead of specifying a specific month, the property can also accommodate relative offset entries, such a +1, -4 that allow the system to calculate the opening period based upon an offset from the last period in the year.

P.S. It means that Carry Forward can't be used to copy data from previous month...

"1. Standart Carry forward busines rule is only for last year? Or it can be made for last month due to year?" - what for? The logic is not clear!

"2. AST and LEQ account: can we put and look data for this account like PER?" - AST and LEQ accounts are always YTD, even in PERIODIC model.

"3. Currency transaction? Is it ok for periodic model? OPEEND - is it Exchange Rates for last month (not year)?" - No issues with currency translation. Please read the documentation:
