Parameter Settings in grc

Hi,

we can maintain/control parameter values in GRC AC in 3 areas:
1) Using "Maintain Configuration Settings"

2) MSMP Workflow Stage settings

3) Respective are of the parameter application maintenance

For example Parameter 2035,2036-Comments mandatory

The same in Role Properties under user Provisioning section "Comments Mandatory"

and in Stage settings "Comments Mandatory" or approval/rejection or both.

and in GRC AC10.1 Parameter 2040 - Comments mandatory on rejection.

Can any one please explain the Precedence/Priority of how the parameter evaluated? Means which area value is overided by which area/app settings?

Parameter 2035 - 2036 are at the role level / line item level within a request. Parameter 2035 allows for comments, period - And 2036, when set to YES, makes adding a comment mandatory, regardless of if the request is being approved / rejected.

Stage settings within MSMP refers to comments at the request level upon approval / rejection - Meaning, when an approver approvers or rejects the request they will be prompted to first input a comment.

Parameter 2040 is also at the line item level - Approvers will be prompted to input comments upon rejection if this is set to YES. In this case, the stages settings supersede the configuration setting.
