PAPM - Whitelist Path in DEV/QAS/PROD

Hi,

we are using FS-PER SP09, currently we faced an issue - whitelist path cannot auto convert to target system path when transported to QAS/PROD.

As for now, we have to go into environment in target system and edit the whitelist path manually. Recently security team raised concern on this edit access in QAS/PROD.

Any idea how to auto convert whitelist path? is this function available in SP11 or SP12?

Please model your "whitelist" or as we now call it "allowlist" to be called the same way in all 3 servers. i understand that there are instances that you would wish to have the path called just for discussion purposes lets call them

• /usr/sap/trans/DEV
• /usr/sap/trans/QAS
• /usr/sap/trans/PRD

in case of situation like this what you can do is ask your system administrator to use softlink.

example create a softlink /usr/sap/trans/filepath and then use this softlink as the new whitelist path or allowlist path so it will be identical in the modeling setup even though on the server side it is pointing to different physical directories.

For this issue you need to use the same name of target system in DEV/QAS/PROD

In our system, BASIS already set something similar to below and it is widely used by other components.

• /usr/sap/trans/DEV
• /usr/sap/trans/QAS
• /usr/sap/trans/PRD
