Hi Abhishek,

When you say "launch" are you pertaining to the Analyze button? If so, it is actually expected that the Query is activated enable for you to have it Analyzed. Same goes to all functions. Any changes needs to be saved and the function needs to be reactivated so that the necessary elements are generated.

Note: If you feel like this is a suspected bug and it is happening in a customers system, it is highly recommended to raise an OSS Item so that the experts can perform an investigation.

Thank you!

Hi

When say Launch , i mean Launch option available against Query Function in My Activities .
This activation is required every time we have import of Environment in UAT System Why is this required ?

Hi Abhishek,

Thank you for the clarification.
Query functions are not automatically activated when an Environment is transported from a Source System to a Target System. So yes, manual activation is necessary. This is a good practice and will also make sure that the generation of needed data from the Query function to your Process Instance is achieved.

There are also a case that a Query Function is automatically activated, however, it will only happen if the Query function is part of a Process Templates. But please take note that you still need to go thru Manage and Deploy for the deployment of the Process Instance.

I hope this answers your question,
Paulo M.
