PaPM Cloud : Query based Master Data and Hierarchy

Hi experts,

We are referring to this blog post : https://blogs.sap.com/2022/10/06/sap-papm-cloud-introduction-of-query-based-master-data-and-hierarch... for getting the master data from S/4 HANA system to PaPM Cloud. But we have a query as to how do we make use of the 'Analytics Privileges' (Read and Write access) for the master data using this approach.

Please be kindly informed that Analytic Privileges (Read and Write access) using Query based masterdata and hierarchy is not possible as of this moment.

In case you want to use Analytic Privileges (Read and Write access), you may utilize and setup internal masterdata and hierarchy using the Master data and Hierarchy table via the General Entities section of the Modeling within the SAP PaPM Cloud application. Thanks for your reply and the blog.

We are trying to load a Profit Center Master Data and Hierarchy CDS View from S/4 HANA to PaPM Cloud. We have following queries :

• Is it necessary to have the external CDS View in the same format as we have in PaPM Cloud ( internal master data and hierarchy using the Master data and Hierarchy table via the General Entities section i.e., VALUE, DESCRIPTION, IS NODE, PARENT VALUE, HIERARCHY NAME).
• Is it possible to add new attributes / properties to the existing master data and hierarchy table in Cloud as in on-premise.

Kindly take note that it is important for the SAP HANA Cloud Table to have the same structure as Master Data and Hierarchy sheet from the SAP PaPM Cloud via the General Entities section.
