hi everyone
I've a question on Ownership Manager in BPC 10.0 NW.
I always thought Ownership Hierarchy is by Environment, and not by Model. When I selected Model A, and changing something (like changing the Consolidation rate from 100.00 to 60.00), save it, and switch to Model B, Model B also shows the changes, which is weird since I changed for Model A only.
Can anyone advise, what is the purpose of the Model in the Ownership Manager (on the top right corner in pic below)?
When I copy the Ownership Hier. to a new Category (Actual, Budget...) and Period (2015.09, 2015.10...), is it just copying it to a single chosen Model or copied to all Models?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Edmund,
You can have any number of Ownership type model in one environment, and each Consolidation type model have to refer to one Ownership model. If you go to Model administration and check on your Model A and Model B, you will see in the "Ownership Model" option that it refers to your existing Ownership model. Most of the time one ownership model is sufficient for 1 group company unless you got different type of ownership perspectives.
Hope that helps
