Hello SAP gurus,
I am in a situation where I have to transfer current GL balances to new GL accounts, but I'd like to avoid having different GL accounts depending on different time periods in order to avoid an increased manual workload and inefficiency consequences. A hierarchy approach using FS00 mapping is not feasible. So the actual GL accounts have to be changed to the specified new GL accounts. In order to avoid having multiple GL accounts for the same balance depending on different time periods, is there a way to overwrite the current GL so that the new GL accounts will act like it has always been used in the past? I'd greatly appreciate it if you could let me know if there is any programming technique available which enables overwriting of existing GL accounts.
