Outlook 2016 and BPC/EPM CPU issue

When using EPM V10 SP 23 Patch 2 via a Citrix desktop and Outlook 2016 running on the local machine certain processes (refresh workbook) cause a very high CPU load on the local machine, closing Outlook resolves the issue. Any ideas?

Update on the above, it seems to be all MS Office applications that are affected on the local machine when refresh working or save workbook EPM processes are run on the Ctirix desktop.

Any ideas?

Looks like something impossible...

Hi,

We have observed a similar issue whereby when outlook is open, refresh of reports is much slower. We have validated this on Citrix and with RDC to virtual machines. Always, as soon as Outlook is removed from the equation, performance returns to normal. We have a ticket raised with SAP so will let you know if we get any solution or logical explanation. This is not a nominal difference either, we are talking extra 7minutes for a normally 1minute report. The additional time is always on the formatting report step.

Regards

Your post is a bit generic, without detailed version info (Office? 64/32? Epm?)!
