Hi All,
We have below situation on open commitment carry forward to 2020 on the PO's where Partial GR done in 2019.
we want to carry forward the Open 2019 commitments to 2020 budget period because unspent 2019 commitment once moved to 2020 it should be with 2020 budget period not with 2019 open commitments.
while we do so below are conflict we got
On available Option-1 for PO’s with Partial GR:
Before Open Commitment carry forward :
currently system not allowing to the change PO quantity or value up to the Actual GR value of 2019 because of Open Commitment carry forward error.
After the Open Commitment carry forward with 2019 budget period :
When changing the PO quantity or value with GR value, system referring the PR associated with PO.
and giving the error that PR not carry forwarded to 2020.
when trying to run the FMJ2 for PR - system not selecting any open items because PR fully converted to PO.
here we cannot change the PO or Run the Carry forward for PR
On available Option-2 for PO’s with Partial GR:
Run the Open commitment carry forward for 2019 commitments with budget period 2019.
After the Open Commitment carry forward with 2019 budget period :
No changes to existing PO line of 2019 and add the new line item in PO with 2019 open value using the Budget Period 2020.
if we do this
any other options to carry forward the open commitments of 2019 to budget period 2020 to allow GR and IR in Fiscal year 2020 using the Budget period 2020.
System details :
FM Profile 101 with IR as actual update - Payment Budget Ledger.
Modules, Grant management, Funds Management, MM, TR
we are using budget structure account assignments - Fund , Fund Center , Budget Period , Funded Program, CI,Functional Area , Grant
Thanks in advance
SAM.

Hi,
Sometimes, indeed,a predecessor document, e.g. PR, has to be in the same year in order to allow further modifications. In order to fulfil this requirement SAP has FMJ0 transaction, which allows to carry-forward fully consumed commitments.

Eli
