Open Excel EPM Add-in (32 Bit) out of BPC Web client in Chrome (32 Bit)

Dear experts,

i try to open the EPM Exceö Add-in out ouf BPC Web Client in Chrome. I have 32-bit Excel, 32-bit EPM and 32-bit Chrome. But as i open BPC linked report or input schedule in Chrome it is just downloading the file, but no Excel with EPM Add-in opens like with IE11 and report does not open.

I also re-installed EPM and checked "Set as Default launcher" Option as stated in Installation Guide of EPM Add-in SP34 Patch 1.

For Firefox i found some hints a Plug-in is needed in order to let this work, but noting about Chrome.

I also use current Version of Chrome 72.XXXX

Any ideas? Is this function (like stated in Installation guide) supported in Chrome?

We are on BPC 10.1 NW with BW on HANA 750 SP 0011.

Dear Vadim,

basically i try to open a linked Excel Sheet (input or report) out of a business process flow:

Acutually afterwards it should open up Excel and start EPM Add-in and try do open the sheet and refresh it. For IE this does work for Chrome the following happens:

Just a download of a .sapaox file is created. You can open it afterwards but it will open it up correctly in Excel EPM Add-in.

Basically that helps in order that the file is now opening directly, when selecting the link in the Business Process Flow.

But for now i still face the issue with the message inside Excel:

The file format and the file ending ".sapaox" do not match. Afterwards i can try to open the file as -XML but this also does not work.

Is there maybe some -XML Add-on necessary for Chrome?

With IE i never had any problems, just with Chrome...

Any ideas harsha.jalakam ?
