Is it possible in ARM to create a rule or activate some parameter requiring the "Business Role Assignment" request type to remove the old Business Role on the user once the new Business Role is approved and provisioned?

Hi,

that is possible. But depends on how you define the logic of when which Business Role should be assigned to which user. Such as HR data, Org. data, Business Process mapping etc.
