Hi Team,
Currently we are working on Brownfield implementation where we are in preparation for migration phase on asset accounting.
We have to achieve the same configuration of depreciation area which is present in production system were depreciation area 01 and 30 both are posting APC values where 01 is posting in realtime and 30 Posting APC values immediately and depreciation periodically.
In S/4 HANA as we have to assign ledgers to depreciation area so it is not possible to keep 2 depreciation areas to post APC Values and depreciation. As for our client 01 Depreciation area used in reporting as per IFRS reporting standard and 30 for Local Balance sheet so it is mandatory for them to post APC and Depreciation value on 30 as well.
To achieve this we created a new non leading ledger along with new accounting principle. As the company code is productive, we have to complete subsequent implementation of further accounting principal step.
There we have to assign a Source depreciation area to target depreciation area and the pre-requisite is to create a depreciation area first.
The issue is when we are creating the new depreciation area system is asking to assign new ledger and when we assign the ledger system is throwing error that company code is not assigned to ledger.
When we try to assign the ledger to company code their system provides an consistency check that recommends if company code is already in use in production then complete Subsequent implementation of a further accounting principle .
So if I summarize it:-
Shall we ignore Consistency check and go ahead with assignment of company code? If yes will it impact the historical data transfer.
Also the 2nd Requirement is how client will be able to create a balance sheet integrating both of the ledger postings.
Please if someone has any document please help to provide or any insights will be highly appreciated to overcome the issue.
