NEW GL Implementation - Data issues in Development system - Next steps

Hello,

We are in the process of implementing New-GL ledger in our Sap ECC system.

Part of this process we worked with SAP New-GL service and for our specific scenario, SAP gave us the guidance and key for Migration cockpit.

We created a POC system by copying our Production system (Live system) and New-GL migration project was successfully implemented via migration cockpit.

Though in our development system, we have some bad data from 2002 year, which is causing reconciliation issues between source ledger and target ledger and we are stuck in migration cockpit in “Migration Phase” at step “Compare Source and Target Ledgers for Balance Carry-forward”.

As we are not able to fix these bad data and a result can not use migration cockpit, can we just Activate New-GL via SPRO directly in development system. (Bypassing Migration cockpit)

In Quality and production system, we will leverage Migration cockpit again as there is no bad data in those environments.

In other words, can we use below approach:

• Activate New-GL directly via SPRO in Development system and NOT use Migration Cockpit at all
• Activate New-GL via Migration cockpit in both Quality and Production data.
