Netweaver SPS patching - BPC dependancies

We are upgrading our SAP NW BW system from SPS6 to SPS11.

Currently our BPC 10 is at CPMBPC 801 SP5 and POASBC 100_731 at SP5.

We are wondering if this calls for a patch update on BPC components also. I checked PAM and could not find this information and searched notes as well but could not get to any advisory notes that gives me the answer.

Can you please let me know if you have already stumbled upon this information.

Also do you know where i can find information about BPC Client components dependency when patching Netweaver and/or BPC components.

Hi Kalyana,

NW components is not dependent on BPC components, but BPC components depends on NW.

have a look at the node Leila suggested, and check each SP note in that note.

You will find the dependencies in each of the SP note.

Hello,

To the best of my knowledge there are no dependencies until BPC 10.1.  However, there are certain BPC SP levels that do not support NW 7.31 and 7.4.  Please check note https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1366676

This note contains the mapping between all BPC versions and the underlying NW.  Other than the mapping in this note there are no other dependencies as far as BPC is concerned.
