Hi All

I am just a beginner to BPC. We are currently working for a challenge on BPC 10 NW and I would like to know step by step if some of you who have already met this requirement as below:

We are trying to create a ppt from a BPC workbook, and we need to store the ppt
template in the BPC server. However on netweaver version it is not possible to
access directly to files on SAP server (the ones stored in UJFS transaction) –or so far we had not found a way to achieve it.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Nabyendu Ray,

you can use the EPM Add-in in Powerpoint to show data from BPC in slides. Have you tried that way?

Hi Arnold

Thank you so much for your quick response.

Yes...we have built it by EPM Add In.

But need to know about the procedure to store or upload it into BPC server.

Could you please help me by telling step by step?

Hello,

The best option is to save the ppt on a local drive.  Then you can use AL11 and load it to a folder in SAP directory.  However, please note that you will not be able to open that file using EPM Add-in.  BPC does not save or open files on a physical folder on the server.  All content and references to them are saved in tables.  The information in the tables are used to render the content on the client side.  Then closest you can get to BPC files on the server is through UJFS.  However,  even UJFS uses the table references and blob contents to render the files.

None of the BPC files are ever present physically in any folder on the server.

Hi,

when you save it using the save option on the EPM tab the saved file will be available to all users of BPC. You could also upload it to the documents section via the BPC web interface.

Hi,

You can open power point from BPC web client.  I don't know how it can be used but that is how you can open it for BPC.

In both Powerpoint and Word you can insert individual numbers from a BPC database as fields. You can also create reports:

It's not totally different from Excel.
