Need to learn SAP BPC

Hello SAP Gurus,

I am working on SAP BW from last 5 years . I am assigned to a SAP  BPC project  which  will get started in 1 month of time  .   I have few doubts which are listed below

1.Are there any Pre requisites to learn SAP BPC ? Do we need to have core finance knowledge to work on this ?

2. What are the best methods to learn  SAP BPC on my own ? ( Since i have less time i cannot take training out side .  I am interested in self learning )

3. If i would get an  opportunity to work on SAP BPC / SAP HANA  , which module i can choose ?

Please  give your valuable suggestions on this .

Hi,

1. with your BW background you can do the technical side of the BPC, you need to understand how BPC cube works and stores data, it is different to BW. If you know ABAP then that will be very beneficial. you need financial and excel skills to become a good functional consultant.

2. ask your company to sign up for e-learning, study BPC 420 is enough for your role.

3. BPC and HANA are different products, it all depends what you want to do, if you learn HANA modelling then you are not limited to BPC.
