Hello All,
can anyone explain, what is mean by minority calculation, when and where this scenario will be used? Pls expalin with small example for better understanding.

Hi,
There are tons of books out there that deal with such issues, see also some of your other questions. In short, when you own more than 50% but less than 100% of a subsidiary you need to calculate minority interest on the profit and equity during the consolidation process. If you own 80% of a subsidiary and they post a profit of $100 you are only entitled to $80 and would show the remaining $20 as minority interest.
