HI there,
I am a strictly functional SAP BI consultant and would like to grow in the BPC space.
I have been reading articles on BPC, and realize it is a huge ocean in itself .
Can anyone please guide me, as to what BPC roles are available on the client projects?
What areas should I focus on in BPC?
Should I get trained on 10.1 NW directly or 10.0 ? Any good e-learning websites or training available?
Best wishes,
Hasan

Thank you Andy for your input. By Excellent Excel skills, I am assuming you mean formulas, v-lookup, macros, pivot ?
Cheers

Hi Ahmed,
You need to have excellent excel skills, and financial knowledge will be a big plus to work in the front end/functional side of BPC.
with your functional BW skills you might help out with some process chains, you need to have ABAP skills to do more technical stuff. BADI and customization.
10.0 and 10.1 standard are almost the same thing, 10.1 embedded is more like BW's IP.
Have a look here: you can select 10 or 10.1 from the left hand side pane.
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver – SAP Help Portal Page
Training material would be BPC 410 420 430 and 440.
Andy
