Necessary User right to load BW transactional data to BPC

Hey guys,

we are currently facing some issues in giving people enough rights for starting a data manager package respectively a package link, to load transactional data from BW to BPC.

After the user selected the package to start, and attempts to set the prompts we receive the message:

So we do understand there is an issue with the user rights, but it is actually a user enabled data manager package so not only for Admins, so they should be able to run it.

The rights we gave them in the BPC admin client

The standard  BPC roles has also been assigned to the user (POA_BUI_FLEX_CLIENT, POA_BUI_UM_USER).

So we thought it might be the case that the user is missing the right to work with the required DSO (DataStore Object) but he also has these rights:

So actually we all are wondering what there is missing....

The trace in st01 in BW actually showed that the user requires all team task profiles from BPC -> is that really necessary??

Does somebody have any idea? If you require any further information please let me know!

User will require access to

RSINFOAREA-- BPC infoarea (BW_BPC)

RSINFOCUBE --- name of cube from which to pull data from BW

RSZCOMPID  -- $ (name of cube from which to pull data from BW)

RSZCOMPTP  - REP

Hey Rahul,

ok we will try this. I am just wondering - why does the user need RZCOMPID and RZCOMPTP which are components belonging to Business Explorer ?

Hi,

In Past, I got this error since i don't have SAP_ALL and other BPC admin related profiles.

I thought that you will be getting this error also. so recommended to check the above mentioned authorization fields.

Hey Rahul,

unfortunately that is not our error..

Our error is really just by clicking on the data Manager package and then getting "Access denied" by attempting to set the prompts.

But thanks for your effort!

Hi Maximilian,

When you have the authorization error, could you please execute and attach the SU53 screenshot? Maybe we are ignoring any authorization object/value necessary.

Hi Alejandro,

I can't really access the SU53 with the "normal" user - but with using the trace in ST01 the system gave us the following output:

I just hided the environment name as it is not relevant really -

I think this trace is not really helpful, but maybe somebody here as an idea.

Hi Maximilian,

Im looking that the trace are cheking the authoritation objects:

• UJ_ID_TL
• UJ_TEAM

Im not sure if you need assign this authorization objects because Im not working in BPC with authorizations.

If you cannot execute SU53 with the user that have the issue to confirm the authorization object, maybe the best way is try to add this authorization objects with the corresponding values in a role and try again.

I hope that you can solve the issue with it.

Hi Alejandro,

thanks for your Input, but no the SU53 is usually possible for the users here, we just received an test user to clarify the issue. So don't care abut that issue.

Regarding the objects

UJ_TEAM

That is exactly our question because as you can see on the right side of the screenshot, he requires all the various Groups we have in BPC:

• ADMIN
• TEAM_BAS_ANZEIGER
• TEAM_BER_ADMIN
• TEAM_ENG_Planer
• TEAM_PRI_ADMIN
• TEAM_PWC_ENTWICKLER
• .....

But it can't be really the case that we hae to add the user to all Groups in the BPC Environment ?!

Hi Maximilian,

Yes, without SU53 screenshot is not easy check which value can to be the real required.

Do you have too much groups in the trace?

If are not too much groups, maybe you can add each group (one to one) and test if works with any specific group.

Maybe SAP are checking all groups that you have defined, but possibly you only need assign a correct group.
