Missing authorization?

As a new enduser in my company! Today, I have received my SAP user name and Password. I work in purchasing department as a requester for quotations. I logged on and fill some fields to create a comparative statement but SAP notified me ( missing authorization). and Advised me to call network administrator

I am excited to step forward with SAP

Maybe you want to call your internal help desk to clarify that issue. No one in the community can say (especially with that level of provided information) what you are trying to do in detail, what privileges are missing, what IAM setup, ... your company has.
