MIGRATION SAP BPC FROM 7.5 MS TO 10 MS

Hi experts,

I want to migrate a BPC 7.5 MS AppSet to the new BPC 10 MS version. I tried to restore a backup and it was done successfully, but I cannot open it neither with the EPM-Addin nor with client Administration (Information Message: This Environment needs to migrate; contact your administrator). Is there any migration tool or method or I have to do it manually?

I also have a question about the migration of Evdre template. I already used EPM-Addin migration tool, but there is still some template I cannot properly migrate. For example, for rates input, I want to have the 12 month of the selected year although user select a base member like a month.

Hi Shahid,

Concerning the first issue you need to open the server manager -> migrate environment and then check your appset to be able to use it.

Concerning the second, please have a look to the following doc:

pg no. 16 for EVDRE migration.

Thanks, migration works fine. I read the pdf, the two hyperlinks don't work:

Hi Shahid, we all are facing problems migrating not easy reports or data entries to EPM 10.

The migration tool is ok for not complicated reports or entries. So, in same cases you should rebuild the schema and hope EPM will be able to do the same, in the same way.

Hello Shahid,

Please see the "SBOP Plan & Consol 10.0 MS Upgrade Guide" in "10.0, version for the Microsoft platform " at this link:

I hope this helps.
