Migration from SEM BCS to SAP BPC 10.1

Hi All,

My client wants to migrate from BCS to BPC 10.1 as they want to use BPC for both planning and consolidation.

Request you all to please share the document if any for migrating from BCS to BPC 10.1.

HI VM

If you talk about migration document then there is no such document, both BPC and BCS are functionality much different .For functionality BPC has two parts one is planning and other one is Consolidation where BCS is has only one part consolidation. BCS entirely depend on BW , where is BPC has lot of flexibility it is integrated with Microsoft excel, BPC admin and BW. So my personal suggestion is, you need to well understand  the financial and business process in BCS and then developed it in BPC.

Yes i am aware of functionality of BCS and BPC but i need to know if there is approach/Migration document or reference/link which i can refer.

There are no tools for migrating from BCS to BPC.

These are very different platforms.

SAP may provide a path to go from  BCS to BPC but it is my guess that this would be only some directions and not migration tools.
