Migration from Former Budgeting to BCS: Year of Cash effectivity

Dear experts, hope you are doing well.

We are working on a migration from Former Budgeting to BCS. Our client has been in Former Budgeting since 2008, using year-based budgeting. We are activating BCS from 2023 with multi-annual budgeting.

we have already migrated documents through transaction FMKUMIGDOC for year 2023. After that we have checked budgetary tables and AVC tables and realize that field GNJHR (year of cash effectivity) has been already completed. The problem is that field GNJHR was not completed in commitments tables such as FMIT, FMIFIIT and FMIOI.

So when we execute the FM reports, the reports don`t take into account the commitments. We assume the reason is that field GNJHR is not filled in the mentioned tables.

Is there any way to solve this situation? Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Regards,

Susana

Hi Eli, yes we are in ECC 6.0 and we have run FMAVCREINIT after the migration but field GNJHR was not completed in commitments tables.

Is there a standard way to solve this scenario?

Thanks in advance, Best Regards,

Susana

Well, migration to BCS by itself doesn't have any impact whatsoever on tables where actuals and commitments are stored, i.e. FMIT, FMIFIIT, FMIOI. Migration to BCS converts only tables for budget documents and for available budget. Which report doesn't show the correct data? Can you post some screenshots?

Hi,

You are in ECC release, correct? Did you execute FMAVCREINIT after the migration?
