Hi Experts,
We are currently planning an EC-CS to Group Reporting migration, working closely with SAP Support and using the migration note 2833748.
Asking if the hierarchy maintained in CX17 Display Cons COA can continue to support or we will use the GR apps exclusively.
Currently use FC10 Financial statements with the CX17 created hierarchy to view both GL and FSItem structured financial statements.
In a regular GR implementation we use the Map FSI with GL accounts, Define FS items and manage global hierarchies to manage the mapping/ FS Item management/ hierarchy management steps.
Thanks
Eyal

Hi Eyal,
When migrating from EC-CS to Group Reporting, the hierarchy you maintained in CX17 (Cons COA) won’t be used directly anymore.
In Group Reporting, hierarchy management is handled exclusively through the Manage Global Hierarchies app and FS Item configuration.
You'll need to replicate or rebuild your existing CX17 hierarchy inside Group Reporting using:
Define FS Items (for FS Item creation)
Manage Global Hierarchies (for hierarchy structure)
Mapping GL accounts to FS Items (to link your operational COA)
Unfortunately, there’s no automated transfer from CX17, it’s a manual alignment during migration.
Hope this helps you plan it more smoothly

Thanks Chuma,
For ongoing COA maintenance is there any connection with CX17/ OB58?
With the EC-CS active, after any FSItem addition/change, the super-user refreshed the master data by reloading and the FSItem appeared as expected. If there's no connection, it means that dual maintenance in GR and CX17 will be required.
Regards,
Eyal
