Migration concept change

Hello Community,
would like to ask SAP's opinion on the fact that the client changes the migration strategy in the last minute. They went live on 02/06/2025. The original plan was to migrate open items and balances for 31/05/2025, but they changed this in the last minute back to 31/12/2024. They would put all the transactional data from January to May 2025 when they have time (manual or standard sap upload applications). My question: what is the official viewpoint from SAP's side on this? We foresee risks on executing the migration in June 2025 for December 2024.
Thanks, Orsolya

Hi @OrsolyaToth

If data is uploaded till 31 Dec 2024 and Go live was done on 2nd June 2025  and business is saying they would upload Jan to May transaction manually when they have time ? How would this be possible ?

Without data from Jan to May, how would business run the end to end transaction where cross module is involved like PP - MM - SD - FI CO ? Business would need SO, PO, PP details in the system to proceed and complete the cycle, not all transactions can be posted independently. Only some part like Direct FI postings can be managed independently but end to end flow with cross module involvement not possible.

So Jan to May data is very much required to run the business.

Just adding some particular info:
They decided also in last minute not to use Purchase orders, but this is manageable. No Production in these companies. And of course we are having questions on the domains you mentioned, and the integration between dates/modules etc. We are planning not to accept this change.
