Migration a SAP PaPM Environment from S4 to BW system

Hi everyone,

I am facing a SAP PaPM environment migration between 2 diferents systems like S4 and BW. I have my environment fully development and working correctly in S4/HANA which consumes data from SAP standard tables like ACDOCA, SETHEADER, SETNODE, etc. and now I want to transport the full content of the environment to BW.

When the environment is transported to BW through tx STMS I obtained several errors related to the domain of the fields and the transport request is canceled, however I am able to model the environment and change its inputs replaced the mentioned tables in S4 with SDA connections pointing to the same tables in S4.

This connections through SDA are activated succesfully by Model View/Table functions but when I try to activate the functions that consumes this tables I obtained a lot of errors related to the domain of the fields like I attach in this post.

I was wondering if there is any SAP Note which helps to do this steps or something that fixes the errors because if this is not posible the only way I can think of to migrate the models is creating all the functions in BW from the beginning

I would appreciate if anyone has faced a similar issue or has any idea about how to solve the situation can give me some help

Thank you for the feedback.

As this involves transport from source to target system, it is also advised to ensure setting the relevant namespaces to 'modifiable' for the generation of PaPM functions to work which should happen automatically during the After-Import phase of a transport. Please perform another transport and let me know the outcome.

Also, can you indicate what is the current Support Package of PaPM in your S4 and BW systems?

Hi Rainier,

Thanks for your support, the step you mentioned in the administration guide it was already done before the transport of the environment.

The current SP is 14 in both systems.

What you can do is try to execute this report /NXI/P1_FW_ENVF_ACT and afterwards indicate the affected environment. This should generate the missing artifacts of the fields. Once done, proceed with the reactivation.
