MC601 and SHDB_PFW 304 error in FARRIC_OL for Optimized Contract Management

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing good.

We are facing a error in the operational load program S4HANA 2020 version - FARRIC_OL program ( copied to Z) but no change is made to parallel processing framework. Its giving a Object lock issue specific to table VBAK and subsequently " Dispatcher adviced to Cancel processing due to error exception raised" error is displayed ( SHDB_PFW 304 ). Object requested is currently locked by user” ( MC 601) -> message id & # We removed the locks from SM12 and ran again but issue persists is the first error. Looks like standard program itself is trying to lock and already locked object. Did anyone come across this issue in RAR FARRIC_OL program . Kindly let us know.

Hi Savitha,

Why do you need to copy the program to a local copy? And to enable PPF, I think that program has to be registered.

The requirement is customer has all SD data related to sales orders in SD tables and physical orders as well but they do not have any delivery or invoice in the S4 system where RAR is being implemented. Standard code would point to delivery ad invoice tables and associated tables/logic and will not work. So the fufilment and invoice processing to contracts is being customized to read data from VBFA and populate RAI structure to send to respective API and not access LIKP/VBRK tables. The custom code does not have any change for data fetch or processing Order data or Order RAIs from VBAK/VAP/VBKD/VBUP/VBFA etc.Its all standard code. Even PFW logic is standard.

Could you please elaborate on the PPF part because here the issue is with PFW dispatcher framework related to parallel processing as in multiple sales orders will be processed in parallell and RAI->Contracts generated in REV REC OCM. Why is standard SAP trying to lock the same table if it is already locked using ENQUEUE ?

We are having the same issue now in all systems as we enter UAT. FARR_TRANSFER_REVENUE gets this message. XIN - is there a note specific to this message to address the issue? If not, we will open an incident.
