Maximum number of ESEF tag on the same block text in SAP DM

Dear SAP Experts,

I am using SAP Disclosure Management (stack 1900) to implement ESEF regulation. Next year phase two of this regulation will start and it will be compulsory to tag Notes of Financial Statements text blocks. A client of us would like to tag more than four levels, this means that they would like to insert more than four tags (e.g. five) on the same text block.

I think that this is impossible now in SAP DM: it is possible to insert four level of tag at maximum. Is there a workaround to increase the number of tag you can insert on the same text block?

Regards,

Andrea

Hello Marc,

I know your point, but our client would like to use extended concepts to increase the detail.

Hi Andreas,

Which concepts in the ESEF taxonomy are nested at this level?

I mean, there has to be some hierarchy to get to get to a nested level 5 deep

For example (for SEC), there are these concepts

us-gaap:ScheduleOfRevenueFromExternalCustomersAttributedToForeignCountriesByGeographicAreaTextBlock

us-gaap: ScheduleOfEntityWideDisclosureOnGeographicAreasLongLivedAssetsInIndividualForeignCountriesByCountryTextBlock

us-gaap:Revenues (Axis: Statement Geographical Axis)

So, the hierarchy is:->Geographical area --> Country --> Revenue by countryThis will lead to a table (tags on cells) with 2 text tags above it (totaling 3)Which concepts in the ESEF taxonomy lead to 5 levels ?Marc

Hello Marc,

our client may have a similar structure for the some section of the Note:

1) Section 1 of the note, level 1 of tag (green)

2) Sub-section 1.1, level 2 (blue)

3) Sub-section 1.1.1, level 3 (grey)

4) Sub-section 1.1.1.1, level 4 (purple)

5) Table of sub-section 1.1.1.1, level 5.

So, green tag covers everything; blue tag covers the whole 1.1 sub-section and so on ... finally the table of sub-section 1.1.1.1 will be covered potentially by 5 tags.

I hope I explained in the proper way.

Thanks for your support.

Hi Andrea

Technically, I don't think there is a limit - although the various colours (green/blue/purple) may only go to 4 levels

However, where does this 5 level need come from?

From what I understood, it was like this (and this is definitely the case for US SEC)

- tag on an individual number (i.e. an Excel cell)

- tag on the table (that contains that cell)

- tag on a note that contains the table (and therefore the cell)

- sometimes, a note above that (i.e. a text tag, that includes some already tagged notes)
