Maximum length of ID??

Hi All,

We are on SAP BPC 10.1 classic and SAP BW 7.4 on HANA.

As per the SAP help portal document,the maximum length of id is 20 characters. In BPC admin web page, i can able to enter account id's more than 20 characters.

Is there no limit of account id's on HANA optimized BPC cubes??

Hi,

I checked the length from server side the the lenght is 32.  Unless if I am mistaken, the help may be incorrect. I can request the information to be corrected.

This is very sad. The helpfile indeed indicates a max of 20 characters. But when creating a member in the administration i receive only an error if i try to create a member of 32+. However we receive errors during import with a clear destination that the member name (containing only the first 20 characters) does not exists. Seems like the cube can hold 32 characters. But not the complete application.

Please describe a test case in the new discussion! 32 character is a correct limit. 20 was for BPC 7.5...

Can you please share where you found that max length of ID in 10.1 is 20 char?

This was true for BPC NW 7.5; since 10.0 it's 32 char.
