Hi Experts,
Since volume of data files could be large on production level. We are concerned that if there is a huge number of data files rejected by SAP ERP for example and its recorded to the INVALID folder in the core server - we would need to open them 1 by 1 just to see the exact error message. Is there a possibility (maybe for example from admin+) to display files that are in error including the logs of each? For example, we tried the command get_files_to_bulkload in admin+, it displays the files pending to be processed but is there a command to display the error log?
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
admin+ has no advanced feature to process or display the contents of the data files.
The most elaborate tool you can find for this is the Cockpit application dedicated to item files:
https://help.sap.com/viewer/c7120011d1c244168dc1f945a06f1350/5.0.5/en-US/cb8abe334cf84b5d8d644d4d72e...
Please still take into account the fact that a same error (e.g. outdated billable item mapping, invalid field value in the pricing logic, etc.) is often the root cause of a large number of file rejections.
Due to this, if you just address the one error described in any of the files and feed all the files back to the bulkloader immediately, you will end up fixing numerous (if not all) other files in one go. After this, in order to clear everything successfully, you just have to repeat these same steps a couple times at most.
Other than this, you may want to use a third-party utility (like a shell command) to extract and identify the distinct error messages. There is no standard recommendation about this, but there should be a very limited number of different issues to address, so this should be enough to provide you a clear overall vision of all the actions needed.
Feel free to ask for more advice if needed, or to describe cases that are more complicated to address.
Best regards.
François
